Information sessions will run during May / June once the 2026 Program Guidelines are released by the Australian Government.

In this information session you'll learn all about the prestigious New Colombo Plan Scholarship program. This is a fully funded  program designed for high-achieving students, giving you study and internship experience in the Indo-Pacific region.

There are a possible 15 scholarship places available for Swinburne students.

Program details: 
  • Scholarship value at up to A$70,000
  • Choose from one of 40 countries in the Indo-Pacific region
  • Live and study in the world’s most dynamic region
  • Build professional networks
  • Engage in cross-cultural communication and study
  • Academic and language tuition covering up to $20,000
  • Monthly stipend for living expenses ($2,500 per month)
  • Travel allowance of $2,500
  • Insurance, case manager support and more
Interested? Review the eligibility criteria below and get ready to register for an information session:
  • be an Australian citizen.
  • be enrolled in units at an on-shore campus of an Australian University during the application process.
  • be between 18 and 30 years (inclusive) for non-Indigenous Applicants, and between 18 and 35 years (inclusive) for Indigenous Applicants.
  • be undertaking a Bachelor Degree or Bachelor Honours Degree when the  Scholarship Program commences.
  • not be a previous recipient of a New Colombo Plan Scholarship (NCP Mobility Grants are ok).
